Get ready for school

Winter 2024 semester updates

The Campus Store team is here to help you get ready for your upcoming semester at MRU. This page includes important information about things you’ll need to arrange or purchase before school starts. If the information you are seeking is not included, please review the Campus Store FAQ before emailing us directly.

The Winter booklist is available as of December 15th. Once you are registered for your classes, your booklist will automatically populate in your Cougars Campus Store account. For instructions to view your personalized booklist, visit “Buy my books.” In some cases when viewing your personalized booklist, you may receive a “No Course Materials Required” notice in your search results. This means there are no texts required for this course.

If your texts are available, we encourage you to purchase them in advance. If you decide to purchase your textbooks online, look for Required and Optional texts. Required texts are mandatory to complete the course. Optional books are supplemental material recommended by the instructor.

You can wait until your first class or when you receive the class syllabus to buy your books, but remember that you do not need to wait to purchase all your textbooks at once. Note that used textbooks are in high demand and generally sell out quickly.

You may experience a short delay in downloading eBooks after your credit card is charged. Please allow 24 hours after completing an order before contacting the campus store.

Important dates

January 3 - New student orientation

January 4 - First day of Winter semester classes

January 12 - Add/Drop date, last day to return Winter semester textbooks

See MRU's critical dates calendar for other important dates.

In-store shopping and in-store pick up

The Campus Store is open for in-person shopping and in-store pick up. Shipping options continue to be available for all orders. If you are only coming in to pick up an order, we recommend parking in Lot 2 and proceeding to the West Gate entrance.

All on campus pick-ups are available in the Cougars Campus Store. Please wait to receive a confirmation email that your order is complete and ready for pick up before coming to campus. In-store pick up is listed as a shipping option when placing orders online. Here's how it works:

  • Step 1: When you place your order online and select “pick up in store” under delivery method, you will receive an initial email confirming that we have received your order.
  • Step 2: Once we have fulfilled your order, you will receive a second confirmation email notifying you that your order is ready for pick up. Please bring a piece of photo ID with you to pick up your order.
  • Step 3: When you arrive on campus, we recommend you park in Lot 2 near the West Gate entrance. Enter at the West Gate entrance and proceed down the stairs to the Cougars Campus Store on Main Street. Please have your order number and photo ID ready to show the representative upon pick up.

Pick up in store is available during store hours.
